CONSULTATION
After receiving your phone or email inquiry, I will schedule a visit to your home to take the brief for the garden design. During this meeting, I will spend some time in your garden to get a feel for the space and to take some photos.
For the brief, I will ask you detailed questions regarding your garden design requirements, your likes and dislikes, the intended use of the garden and your overall budget.
After the consultation, I will study the brief then send you a design proposal outlining my design fee, what plans are included in the fee, a contract with payment terms will also be supplied, to be agreed, in advance of the survey.
SURVEY
All aspects, utilities, levels of the garden site are recorded by us, using state-of-the-art laser measures all trees and features to be kept, or to be removed are recorded and/or measured and used in the presentation plan. For large-scale projects – a professional surveyor would be used.
I’ll be happy to arrange the services of a professional surveyor on your behalf for a fee of 10% of their total quotation.
DESIGN
According to the results of the site survey and your design brief, I will produce a garden design drawing for you accompanied by mood boards to aid visualisation of the design. At the presentation meeting, I will show you samples of intended materials to be used and make changes, if required.
The agreed design will then be drawn up with detailing, then delivered to the landscaping team of your choice, for them to produce a quote for the construction of your garden.
I will meet with the chosen contractor and produce a setting out plan for their use.
PLANTING
When the design plan/presentation plan is agreed and finished, I will start on the planting plans for the garden design. When the planting plan is agreed – plant schedules will be produced and sent to reputable Nurseries for quotations.
Planting plans are also available as a separate service for gardens which don’t need a full design service, only a sprucing up of old or tired planting areas.
After completion of the hard landscaping of your garden, our team will arrange the plant delivery, setting out of plants by the designer and planting up the design.
Andrea will arrange a walk through visit for you to point out all the individual plant needs after completion.
